How to Follow a Signal Correctly
Read the whole card, confirm that its state is actionable, understand its entry basis and active risk or protection, choose your own size, and follow the current manager state rather than an old screenshot.
Step 1: identify the product and clock
Start with the product, duration class, direction, and expiry. A Day Trade card cannot be treated like a Swing Trade card, and a Rapid card must be read from its own displayed duration.
Step 2: read the state and entry basis
Pending, near, open, confirmed, protected, and closed are different states. Some cards wait for a level; others engage after a qualifying event. Act only from the live card's displayed contract. Do not invent a universal entry-zone rule.
Step 3: decide whether the trade fits your risk
Vector Ridge does not choose your position size. Consider the active risk information, liquidity, event hazards, gaps, spread, and the possibility that your fill differs from the published research convention.
Step 4: follow current state, not stale fields
A manager update can replace an earlier risk state with protected logic. Re-read the current card after an alert. Do not keep following a retired level because it appeared in an earlier screenshot.
Step 5: respect the clock
Each product has a time boundary. Same-session cards do not become overnight ideas because a move is losing. Multi-day and overnight cards carry real gap and event risk by design.
Step 6: use the ledger for review
Evaluate the published outcome in the realized ledger, then compare it with your own fill separately. Do not substitute a static marketing statistic for the current record.
If the card is unclear, do not act
An inconsistent state, missing risk field, or stale timestamp is a delivery problem to investigate, not a prompt to guess.
When should I enter?
Only when the live card's state and entry basis say the card is active. The rule is product specific.
What if I missed the published entry?
Do not chase blindly. Check whether the card remains active and whether your possible fill still fits your own risk limits.
Which level do I follow after an update?
Follow the current active state and level shown on the card, not a superseded screenshot.
